  • In what form will I receive the result and the travel certificate?

Tests reports and travel certificates are sent by e-mail in English in the form of PDF with the stamp and the signature of the laboratory. You equally receive an SMS notification when the analysis was completed, that announces that the result is ready and you need to check your email.

  • Is the travel certificate internationally recognised?

Yes. The certificate is issued by the Federal Office of Public Health in the Swiss official form. For travellers to Japan and Hong Kong we sing the necessary additional entry forms at their request.

  • What if I did not receive or find the email sent by the lab?

If you received the SMS notification, it means the email was also sent. Please check the spam and if still don’t find the email, contact us at covid19@labomgd.ch or covid19@primomedical.ch or call +41 21 601 35 00.

  • How much does a test with travel certificate cost?

The test costs between 130 and 160 CHF depending on where you initiate the request and the support services offered.

  • Is the saliva test internationally validated?

Yes, absolutely. The Saliva Collection Kits LolliSponge® are produced by an American company, among the market leaders in point-of-care diagnostic testing. The product has obtained authorisations for use in screening for the Covid-19 virus in the United States, Canada, South America, Asia and Europe.

  • What kind of test material do you use?

We use self-administered saliva collection kits. The samples are sent to a laboratory and analysed with the RT-PCR technique to detect the presence of DNA fragments of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

  • How is the test administered?

The sampling is performed just by keeping the sponge stick in your mouth for a few minutes without spitting or biting. This easy procedure can be performed at POC as well as at home, using LolliSponge™ as a self-collection device. A video guide is available on this site.

  • If I test positive, do I have to declare it?

No. The laboratory that performs the PCR analysis automatically informs the Swiss health authorities. If your test is positive, you must take the health measures recommended by the Swiss government. https://www.bag.admin.ch/bag/en/home/krankheiten/ausbrueche-epidemien-pandemien/aktuelle-ausbrueche-epidemien/novel-cov/isolation-und-quarantaene.html#1140872486
